                                           Beginning of it all: The Red and the Bat

"Who could I possibly find to go on this mission with me and tails," Sonic said as he stops to think who he could ask." Hmm……. I know I can ask knucklehead if he want to go." Sonic confirmed dashing off to where knuckles are.

Meanwhile on Angel Island
There sat a red echidna against a rock known as the master emerald. He is the one and only, knuckles the echidna. This what he usually does all the time by himself on the huge island. He hardly gets any visitors other than Sonic and Tails at times. He also gets visits from a certain bat. Her name was Rouge which he hated with a passion. She was an annoying bat that did nothing but try to steal his Master emerald. She tries every trick, even trying to seduce him but he still wouldn't budge a bit.

As he sat there with his eyes closed, he heard noises of wings flapping. "Speaking of the devil," he thought to himself. He looked up and seen her land right beside him.  "Hello handsome," she said to the not so happy echidna. "What do you want she devil!" he said roughly to her. "You don't have to be so mean, I just wanted to hang out with my favorite person in the world," she said sarcastically. "Whatever, if you here for the master emerald the answer is no and get off my island," closing his eyes again in a way showing the conversation had ended. "You're not going to provoke me as you usually do with me?" She replied. Knuckles was still silence not answering the bat. "You are no fun knuckles, you should be grateful of my presence; I make your life much better." She said. "O ple-ase you think I want you here, I just told you to get your butt of my island. I am trying to be nice." He said now getting angry. "Hey at least I have a life outside this island, all you do is just sit here and hope to God someone come and see you." She said yelling at knuckles. "The only friends you have is Sonic and Tails, and I'm sure not your FRIEND!!!!" She said to him. "You know something just SHUT UP!" he said yelling in her face. "No you SHUT UP!" she shot back at him in his face. They both started yelling and arguing at each as they usually do.

                                      Now let's get back to Sonic ……………..

"I'm almost there," Sonic said as he was dashing to Angel Island. He stops at the edge of the cliff to jump towards the island. "Ok time to make this quick," he said. He took a step back and jumped to the island landing on it.


                                                  (Back at the cliff)

"Do you still see the target," a demanding voice said from a communicator watch! "Yes I'm right on his tail sir, he won't get away," the mysterious voice said. "Good he is our target make sure you bring him alive got it!" The voice said. "Yes sir" the mysterious voice said in a smart way. He closed his watch and jumped toward the island behind Sonic.

                                           Back to the to the arguing duo  

"Augh why you have to be so annoying you bat!" knuckles said now angry and flustered." Oh shut up you old hermit," Rouge yelled back. As they argued Sonic came and stop in front of them. "Hey you two" he said. They still continued. "YOU GUYS!" Both said "WHAT!" "Would you two just shut up!" Sonic yelled at the pair. "What do you want?" knuckles asked already frustrated." I want to ask you do you want to tag along on this mission with me and Tails". Sonic said. "Oh interesting, especially you asking me to come is a rare occasion," knuckles stated. "Yeah whatever you coming or not?" Sonic said in a hurry. "Oh you can come to I guess rouge," Sonic imputed.  '' I was wondering when you was going to ask, I thought you boys forgotten about me.'' Rouge replied. '' Yes the more the merrier'' Sonic said, "but I prefer to go solo. I work alone. '' He said being cocky." Whatever big blue,'' Rouge said to Sonic. " I guess I see you guys later then, Oh come by Tails workshop this afternoon ok'', Sonic said as he dashed off back to tails workshop. I guess I have something to do this afternoon, later Knuckie. Rouge said taking off to whatever she came from. '' Don't call me that!!! '' Knuckles yelled to her as she flew away. "That girl is something else," he said smirking to himself, going back to the position before she came.

                                                       Now back to the mysterious guy………..
"This guy moves so fast." The guy said now at the Master emerald resting place. He looked through the bushes and seen Sonic dash off and Rouge also flown away. Knuckles was still there. "Dang I lost him and I'm too tired to run'', He said. At least I know they are going to meet up this afternoon at this Tails house,'' he said. '' I'll wait until he leave to go there and he'll lead me to Sonic the Hedgehog.'' He gloated as he waited for the hour of getting close to Sonic……
